Meadowsweet is an astringent, aromatic antacid herb.

It may heal, soothe and relieve pain especially in the joints and digestive tract, increase urine output and kill germs in the urine (bladder infections)

Internally it may be helpful with:

upset stomach
heartburn
gastritis
peptic ulcers
diarrhoea in children
dysentery
rheumatic and joint disorders like gout
influenza

Warning: Not to be used by people sensitive to salicylates/aspirin.
