Chickweed is a good expectorant meaning it may help loosen mucus.

Chickweed may

  • reduce inflammation
  • rheumatism
  • respiratory tract illnesses like bronchitis
  • chest infections
  • phlegm buildup

Externally, Chickweed can also be used to treat

  • itching skin conditions
  • eczema
  • psoriasis
  • ulcers
  • boils
  • abscesses

Warning : Do not take during pregnancy. Excess can cause diarrhoea and vomiting.
