- Perennial
- Blue Petal-bush is native to the bushveld regions of Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces.
- It is a small, much-branched, evergreen ornamental shrub withy silvery leaves, 40–60 cm tall.
- Blue Petal-bush bears large purple-blue flowers almost all year round - starting in spring and continuing into winter.
- It is frost hardy, drought resistant, and will tolerate quite harsh conditions.
- Grow it in full sun or semi-shade, in well-drained soil.
- Plant it as a groundcover, in groups in a mixed border or in a rockery - also suitable for containers.
- Prune it back in late summer to early autumn to keep it low and bushy.
- Propagate by seeds sown in spring or early summer or by cuttings taken in summer.
