- Tartaria is the name of a large area in northern and central Asia where it is originated - so it is often called Tatarian honeysuckle.
- Although it is not a real honeysuckle, it has the similar flower pattern to that of the real honeysuckle plant.
- It is a bushy shrub that can grow up to 3m. and the leaves are oval or rounded.
- The flowers are white to pink to crimson red and have the sweet fragrance typical of honeysuckle.
- The fruit is a shiny orange or red berry and is not edible for humans.
- Tatarian Honeysuckle is highly adaptable to a wide variety of soil and environmental conditions.
- It can grow in full sun to shade, and can tolerate temperatures down to -40 ℃.
