• Annual
• Cucumber is thought to be indigenous to India – at the southern foothills of the Himalayas.
• White Wonder is an heirloom variety with green lobed leaves and yellow flowers that develop into creamy white fruit up to 17cm long.
• It doesn’t need to be trellised and is a vigorous grower.
• White Wonder is an exciting variety to grow, as the white cucumbers stand out between the foliage, so you can see the progress of the cucumbers as they grow.

Culinary Uses

• White Wonder is eaten raw as a snack food or are added to green salads, included in sandwiches or used with dips.
• It can be pureed for use in cold sauces, yoghurt dishes and chilled soups.
• For use in hot dishes, they are peeled, the seeds are removed and the flesh sliced and blanched in boiling water for a few minutes.
• They are then cooked, baked, added to stews, sauteed in butter or stuffed, depending on the recipe.

• White Wonder cucumbers are a source of vitamin C to strengthen the immune system, vitamin K to assist in faster wound healing, and B vitamins to improve cell health, brain operations, and overall well-being.
• It also provides potassium to balance fluid levels within the body, phosphorus to build strong bones and teeth, and contain other nutrients, including magnesium, manganese, copper, fibre, and antioxidants.
• Beyond vitamins and minerals, cucumbers have a large water content, allowing the digestive tract to be cleansed, reducing inflammation, and the body to be hydrated.
